I was born in Hong Kong and raised in St. John’s, Newfoundland. I had completed a Performance and Communications Media Film Diploma at Memorial University of Newfoundland to where I transferred to the University of Windsor to continue my pursuit in film. I am currently in my last year of studies towards a BA (H) Drama and CMF.
I believe in New beginnings and second chances. I believe in living life to the fullest.
Originally Page by Page was started in 2014 with my friend Yumna Iftikar who named our business. Growing up the arts was always a part of my life but what made it clear was after being struck by a car, unable to walk for two weeks and having that time to really think about what I want to do with my life. Due to the injuries and slowly healing, I wrote my first 10 minute short film which later had to be cancelled. After this experience I knew I wanted to continue with film even though my first attempt had failed. My passion continued to grow in NL. Yumna and I double teamed as she did photography and I did videography from a Lawyer being convocated to a Pakistani Baby shower where we wore traditional Pakistani dresses. After completing the Diploma together, we went our separate ways and I decided to Keep the name when I moved to Windsor to continue to showcase my work.
Since being in Windsor, Ontario, I have photographed weddings, local artists, bridal showers, head shots, families, pets and scenery (My favorite are the sunsets at the Waterfront.) I have also had the opportunity to work with Computer science graduate students and was employed by UWindsor. Besides photos, I have been working on the art of cinematography. Having participated in two years of Windsor’s International Film Festival 48 hour film, I gathered a crew together on my own with like minded individuals and it was a blast. Creating music videos to promos to wedding videos has been quite an amazing experience. I never would have imagined how far I have come if it wasn’t for the New beginning and second chances which turned into a huge Blessing being here in Windsor. I have been encouraged by each person that I had the opportunity to work with and am looking forward to what this year will bring.
